Kaluza is the Energy Intelligence Platform
Turning energy complexity into seamless coordination. We help energy companies overcome today’s challenges while accelerating the shift to a clean, electrified future.
Our platform orchestrates millions of real-time decisions across homes, devices, markets and grids. By combining predictive algorithms with human-centred design, Kaluza makes clean energy dependable, affordable and adaptive to everyday life.
With teams across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia, and a joint venture with Mitsubishi Corporation in Japan, we power leading companies including OVO, AGL and ENGIE, as well as innovators like Volvo and Volkswagen.
What will I be doing?
As Head of Product for Flex, you own the vision, strategy and commercial success of our residential VPP platform globally. You lead a product organisation of Product Managers embedded across our device integration, optimisation, monetisation and SaaS platform teams, and you sit on the Flex Leadership team alongside our Head of Engineering, jointly accountable for the performance of the whole Flex business. Specifically, you will:
- Set and own the global product strategy for Flex, translating Kaluza's company-level strategy into a roadmap spanning device integrations, multi-asset optimisation (EV, battery, solar, HEMS), monetisation and market access, and self-serve SaaS capabilities.
- Build and lead a high-performing product organisation - hiring, developing and retaining Product Managers of all levels, and identifying and growing the next generation of product leaders within Flex.
- Make the trade-off calls that matter: balance the needs of our two core client segments - energy retailers and device OEMs - defaulting to retailer priorities where they conflict, in line with Flex's strategy, while protecting the long-term health of the platform.
- Partner closely with the Head of Engineering and our Commercial and Partnerships teams to align product, technical and commercial strategy, and to make resourcing and investment decisions across Flex's product and engineering teams.
- Define annual goals and OKRs for Flex, aligned to Kaluza's company strategy, and hold your organisation accountable for delivering measurable commercial and platform-quality outcomes.
- Be the client-facing expert for Flex product: lead demos and pitches for prospective retailer and OEM clients, contribute to proposals and pricing, and represent Flex's product practice at Kaluza-wide and industry forums.
- Own the long-term roadmap narrative - kept current, accessible, and able to be told confidently to prospects and clients two years out - as well as internally to engineering, design, partnerships and commercial teams.
- Build and maintain your network with Product, Partnership, Engineering and Commercial leaders across Kaluza, ensuring insight from Flex feeds into - and benefits from - the wider Kaluza product strategy.
- Champion product craft and ways of working across Flex, raising the bar for discovery, prioritisation and measurable impact, in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment where judgement on trade-offs matters as much as vision.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You
Ideally you’ll have/be
- Be a proven, experienced product leader with a track record of building, leading and developing product teams and people managers, not just individual contributors.
- Be a seasoned expert in product strategy and execution across the full product lifecycle, with a track record of translating ambiguous, complex problems into a clear strategy and roadmap.
- Have strong commercial instincts - comfortable owning pricing input, business cases and ROI, and able to demonstrate commercial impact and business growth through your teams.
- Be an excellent communicator, able to present complex, ambiguous problems clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical audiences, from engineers to clients to Kaluza's leadership team.
- Have deep experience with, or a genuine ability to quickly get up to speed in, complex multi-sided B2B / B2B2C technology platforms - direct experience in energy, DER orchestration, IoT device platforms or smart devices is a strong plus.
- Be comfortable operating with high ambiguity, making the call yourself where appropriate and knowing when to escalate, in a fast-paced and frequently changing environment.
- Have a track record of fostering a strong product culture and coaching others - including peers without being their formal manager - to raise the standard of product work around them.
- Be data-driven in how you measure impact, and able to hold yourself and your teams accountable to outcomes, not just outputs.
