Head of Product

Lifted is the people platform for the frontline, with a current focus on social care. We help care providers find and keep amazing people, so that everyone in the world can get the care they need from the right person at the right time. We are growing very fast, having grown from a team of 5 to 50 in less than 2 years, and working with 750 care companies in the UK.

The opportunity ahead of us is vast. The care market is doubling in the next 10 years and the people process is often still run on paper. It's a global challenge and we are rising to it. We are backed by leading investors Ada Ventures, Fuel Ventures and Form Ventures.

We are looking for a Head of Product to own our product vision and delivery. The first modules of our platform, focused on carer recruitment and immigration compliance are established, but there is so much opportunity ahead - from matching the right carer to the right role, to enabling carers to retain their roles for longer.

You will work directly with the CEO to help prioritise and shape what a truly exceptional people experience is for frontline workers, one that puts AI capabilities at its heart. You will be the product leader in a fast-growing, mission-driven tech organisation, with two squads to work with.

This is a hands-on role first and leadership role second. You'd line manage three people from day one, and grow that function as the company scales, but you'd also be writing strategy docs yourself, running your own discovery, and in the detail of what we ship - including running a squad where needed. If you want to set direction from a distance, this isn't the job for you. If you’re a builder who wants to shape a product function from the front, while it's still small enough to build the way you think it should be built, then we want to hear from you.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Responsibilities

Set the vision

  • Define and communicate a product vision and strategy across hiring, immigration and compliance
  • Translate business objectives into a measurable strategy and roadmap. Hold the line on what we are not going to build.
  • Drive the move towards self-serve, because the volume of candidates the business intends to process cannot be handled any other way.

Lead the team

  • Build, mentor and grow a small, high-performing Product team. You’ll have three direct reports across Product and Design to start with.
  • Set the bar for craft: discovery, PRDs, prioritisation, and how we measure success and risks.
  • Own the product operating rhythm across both squads: cycle planning, prioritisation and triage.

Deliver outstanding products

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from insight and ideation through to launch and iteration.
  • Sequence the roadmap to drive commercial impact. Understand what each bet is worth and be able to defend the order. Work with Commercial and Marketing on pricing, packaging and adoption.
  • Be hands-on for delivery on our Immigration product, and oversee the Senior PM running our Hiring and Onboarding AI agents.
  • Drive data-informed decisions against clear product KPIs, including metrics for AI agent performance.

Champion the customer and the sector

  • Maintain a deep understanding of adult social care: its pressures, its regulation, and its competitive dynamics.
  • Ensure every product decision is grounded in customer insight. Speak to real users yourself, regularly. This is not a role that can be run from a roadmap.

Influence and align

  • Work directly with the CEO, taking ownership for Product decisions. Within a few months, the default answer to "what should we build next?" should come from you.
  • Communicate strategy, progress and outcomes clearly to the team, the board and our investors.

What we are looking for

  • Experienced product leadership in a user-centric, fast-growing technology company. We envisage this will be at least 8 years' experience, but we are open to discussion.
  • Has led product for a company at this stage and taken it through a step change in scale.
  • Has managed product managers and made them measurably better.
  • Comfortable shipping agentic AI or LLM-based products in production. Understands evaluation and quality measurement, not just prompting.
  • Strong, well-argued opinions about what not to build, and the judgement to know when to change them.
  • High levels of ownership.
  • Ability to lead their own research. Speaks to real users regularly and turns what they hear into actionable insights.
  • Driven by data. Pulls and interprets their own numbers, and can explain how the insights are used to drive decision-making.
  • Communicates clearly and manages stakeholder needs. Credible with engineers and with a board.
  • Passion for our mission, and kindness.

Nice to have

  • Recruitment, HR tech, staffing, or marketplace experience is a strong advantage.
  • Experience with the UK care sector, or health and social care staffing.
  • Product experience in a regulated or compliance-heavy environment.
  • Product-led growth experience.
  • Voice or conversational product experience.
