Senior Product Growth Lead – Viral & Referral Growth

Location: Remote but you need to be based in the US, UK, Canada, Israel, Germany, Netherlands or France.

(You must be available to work until midday Pacific Time every weekday to ensure sufficient crossover with the wider team.)

Salary: up to $400,000 + equity

We’re looking for a Senior Product Growth Lead to own and scale viral growth across a high-growth consumer business.

This is not a traditional growth marketing role. We’re looking for someone who has personally built or engineered referral programmes and viral growth loops that delivered meaningful organic growth at scale.

You might have done this at a high-growth consumer company such as Airbnb, Uber, Robinhood, Dropbox, Coinbase or Discord — or perhaps you’ve founded and grown a viral consumer or social product yourself.

What you'll be doing:

  • Take ownership of the existing referral programme and transform it into a genuine viral growth engine, targeting a 3.6x improvement in 30-Day K Factor
  • Lead a small team of engineers and designers, running and shipping experiments at pace
  • Own product-led growth across referrals, invite loops, UGC, social sharing, gifting, freemium and new viral mechanics
  • Work directly with the CEO, VP Growth, Head of Product and VP Engineering
  • Build and own the analytics required to measure viral coefficients, referral rates and loop performance
  • Scope MVPs, work directly with the codebase where needed and get experiments into staging
  • Continuously test new mechanics and identify opportunities to increase organic acquisition
  • Expand your remit across the product as the business scales from 100k towards 10M customers by 2030

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Requirements:

  • 5–15 years' experience, with at least 5 years focused on product growth, referrals or viral loops
  • Strong consumer/D2C product experience
  • Hands-on experience building a consumer referral programme or viral growth loop that drove material organic growth at real scale
  • Ideally, you were personally involved during a company's major referral or viral growth inflection point
  • Comfortable working closely with engineers and designers rather than simply handing over requirements
  • Able to interface with a codebase, scope MVPs and get to a staging environment — AI-assisted coding is absolutely fine
  • SQL literate; you don't need to be an expert, but you should be comfortable working with data
  • Highly experimental and comfortable shipping, measuring and iterating quickly
  • We're open to candidates from exceptional B2B PLG businesses where referrals and organic product growth were genuinely core to the growth model.

This probably isn't for you if...

  • Your experience is primarily performance marketing, paid acquisition or traditional demand generation.

We're specifically looking for someone who has built viral growth into the product itself — and can point to what they personally built, how it worked and the material growth it created.
