Head of Product – Maritime
Fully REMOTE.
Permanent if based in UK, B2B if overseas.
We’re partnering with a maritime technology company building a cloud-based SaaS platform designed to transform how ship owners and operators manage their fleets.
They’re looking for a Head of Product Stream to take end-to-end ownership of their Crewing product, combining product strategy and customer insight with hands-on delivery.
This is an opportunity to own a product area rather than simply deliver an existing roadmap. You’ll shape the product’s direction, work directly with maritime customers and lead the delivery of software that supports complex crewing workflows across shore and vessel operations.
You’ll report to the Chief Product Officer and work closely with a Technical Owner, Agile Delivery Manager and engineering teams.

- Owning the product vision, strategy and 12-month roadmap for the Crewing stream.
- Working with ship owners, operators and crewing teams to understand their challenges and identify opportunities.
- Translating customer and business needs into clear product priorities, initiatives, epics and user stories.
- Managing the backlog, prioritising features and making decisions on scope and delivery.
- Partnering closely with engineering and design from discovery through to release.
- Balancing customer requests, commercial priorities and long-term product strategy.
- Taking an active role in Agile ceremonies, feature validation and release readiness.
What we’re looking for
We’re particularly interested in candidates who combine strong Product Management experience with a genuine understanding of maritime crewing.

Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Significant experience owning B2B SaaS or enterprise software products from strategy through to delivery.
- Direct experience with maritime crewing, crew-management software or crew-planning systems.
- An understanding of workflows such as crew assignments, rotations, recruitment, certification, training and travel.
- Experience developing product roadmaps and managing backlogs, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and enterprise customers, including making difficult prioritisation decisions.
- Experience working closely with engineering teams to deliver complex software products.
Experience within maritime ERP, crew-management platforms or software serving ship managers and operators would be particularly relevant.
