Senior Underwriter

Location: Flexible / Hybrid (UK)

Salary: £80,000 - £100,000

We’re partnering with an ambitious and well-backed new MGA who are looking to grow their team with the launch of new lines of business.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a business-facing underwriting role with a clear pathway to progress to Head of Product.

The Opportunity

This isn't just a traditional “desk underwriting” role. This is the perfect position designed for someone who:

  • Knows their specialist area of underwriting inside-out
  • Enjoys being out in the market building relationships
  • Can represent a growing MGA with credibility to brokers and capacity providers

You’ll work closely with the Head of Underwriting, helping to shape broker strategy, drive profitable growth, and play a key role in scaling the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

Broker & Market Relationship Development

  • Build and manage key relationships with brokers
  • Identify and onboard profitable books of business
  • Conduct regular broker meetings and market engagement
  • Drive a clear and consistent underwriting appetite

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
