Head of Production
We’re looking for an experienced Head of Production to lead production across Art&Graft and manage our brilliant team of Producers.
You’ll have oversight across our full slate of live and upcoming work, making sure projects are properly scoped, resourced and delivered to the highest creative and commercial standards.
You’ll support and develop our Producers, helping them solve problems, manage risk and make strong decisions around budgets, margins, schedules and teams.
You’ll be a senior production point of contact across our key client relationships, bringing continuity between projects and making sure new briefs transition smoothly into production.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who can see the bigger picture while being happy to get into the detail when needed – helping us continually improve how we produce work and creating the conditions for our teams to do their best work.
Who You Are
- An experienced production leader with a strong background in design, motion, animation and creative production.
- A supportive and generous people manager who knows how to get the best from Producers and help them develop.
- Commercially minded and confident with budgets, margins, forecasting and the financial realities of running creative productions.
- An excellent scoper – able to turn ambitious creative briefs into realistic teams, schedules and budgets.
- A trusted partner to clients, comfortable building strong relationships and handling difficult conversations when needed.
- Calm under pressure, with the experience and judgement to find a way through complex production challenges.
- Highly organised, with the ability to maintain oversight across multiple projects, teams and priorities without getting lost in the detail.
- Strategic and forward-thinking – able to spot risks, resource requirements and opportunities before they become urgent.
- Collaborative, positive and low-ego; happy to lead from the front and step in wherever needed.
- Passionate about great creative work and creating the conditions for teams to do their best work.
- Well connected within the creative industry, with a strong network of production and freelance talent.
- At least 10 years’ experience in creative production, including significant experience in a senior production leadership role.
What You’ll Do
Production Leadership
- Take overall responsibility for the smooth running of production across Art&Graft.
- Lead and develop the Producer team, maintaining visibility across live and upcoming projects and providing oversight, support and clear direction.
- Act as the senior production escalation point and ensure consistently high production standards across the studio.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
