Role Description
The Head Of Production - Functional Wellness Foods is a full-time, on-site role based at the hop farm in kent tn126qf.
This role oversees end-to-end production operations, ensuring functional wellness food products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

- Day-to-day responsibilities include planning production schedules, managing workflow and resources, and coordinating with procurement, quality assurance, and logistics to meet demand.
- The Head Of Production leads and coaches production teams, sets performance expectations, and implements training and safety practices on the production floor.
- This role also monitors production costs, contributes to budgeting and capacity planning, and drives process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste while maintaining regulatory and food safety compliance.
Qualifications
- Strong production planning and production management skills to oversee daily manufacturing activities and align output with demand.
- Proficiency in operations management and team management to coordinate cross-functional workflows and develop high-performing production teams.
- Experience with budgeting and cost control to manage production expenses, optimize resource utilization, and support financial goals.
- Background in food or beverage manufacturing, preferably in functional or wellness-focused products, including familiarity with food safety and regulatory standards (e.g., HACCP, FDA, GMP).
- Ability to analyze data, use production metrics, and apply continuous improvement methodologies (such as Lean or Six Sigma) to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and foster an inclusive, safety-conscious workplace.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced production environment in PaddockWood, kent, with hands-on involvement in daily operations.
