About the Role
Interested in working for CBRE Local UK's fastest growing division and joining one of the most successful project teams? Our Health & Care division is currently recruiting a Head of Projects to be based in London.
As the Head of Projects, you will lead the safe, commercially successful delivery of projects across a business unit. You will shape and deliver the project plan, build and develop a high-performing team, create a strong pipeline of opportunities, and maintain trusted relationships with clients and supply partners. With full responsibility for project performance and the P&L, you will ensure work is delivered on time, within budget, and in line with contractual, statutory, quality, health, safety, and technical standards.
What You'll Do
- Lead the safe delivery of projects by managing technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial, and operational risks.
- Own the project plan, forecast, and P&L, ensuring projects meet agreed timelines, budgets, margins, and quality standards.
- Recruit, lead, develop, and retain a capable projects team, addressing performance issues and building capability for future growth.
- Build a sustainable pipeline by identifying opportunities, strengthening client and site relationships, and promoting innovative solutions and technologies.
- Lead bids, tenders, proposals, presentations, and consultation meetings to secure new work and exceed the annual financial plan.
- Deliver contractual commitments, negotiate obligations and disputes, and ensure compliance with commercial agreements and CBRE governance.
- Improve profitability through effective cost control, procurement, and management of subcontractor services.
- Chair project reviews and provide clear advice, reporting, and leadership to clients, stakeholders, and the wider management team.

What You'll Need
- A proven track record of safely delivering complex projects in mechanical and electrical engineering, facilities management, construction, or critical environments.
- Experience of leading teams, developing talent, and managing performance.
- Demonstrable experience of owning a P&L, forecasts, and commercial outcomes.
- Experience of developing project opportunities and leading bids, tenders, and proposals.
- Strong knowledge of project governance, contract management, risk management, and relevant health and safety requirements, including CDM Regulations.
- Excellent communication, influencing, relationship-building, and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage clients and senior stakeholders.
- A highly organized, results-focused approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage information from multiple sources.
- A relevant qualification in project management, construction, mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related discipline is desirable. APM, PRINCE2, SMSTS, NEBOSH, CSCS, or IOSH credentials are also desirable where relevant.
