Davies is looking for an exceptional insurance leader to become our Head of Proposition - Motor, a pivotal leadership role within our Clients and Markets function.
With end-to-end responsibility for the strategic direction, commercial performance, and long-term evolution of our Core & Volume Motor proposition across the UK, Ireland, and growing European markets, this is a rare opportunity to influence how motor claims and legal solutions are delivered across the insurance industry.
You will act as the driving force behind our motor strategy, leading proposition development, market engagement, and client growth while ensuring Davies remains at the forefront of innovation, operational excellence, and client value.
What will your day look like:
This role sits at the heart of our growth ambitions. You will:
- Lead the development and positioning of Davies' motor claims and legal proposition.
- Work closely with operational, technical, technology, proposition, and client teams to create market-leading solutions that deliver measurable value for insurers.
- Build trusted relationships with senior insurer stakeholders.
- Represent Davies at industry events.
- Help shape the future direction of motor claims services.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of client and proposition professionals.
- Ensure we continue to deliver exceptional service while identifying new opportunities for profitable growth.

- Define and deliver the long-term strategy for Davies' motor proposition across the UK, Ireland, and Europe.
- Develop innovative motor claims and legal solutions that respond to changing market and client needs.
- Drive profitable growth through new client acquisition, increased panel share, and deeper existing client relationships.
- Champion the use of data, technology, and operational expertise to improve client outcomes.
- Lead high-profile client engagements and become a recognised market ambassador for Davies.
- Influence pricing strategy, commercial negotiations, and value-based conversations with clients.
- Identify acquisition opportunities, strategic hires, and capability enhancements that strengthen our market position.
- Lead winning RFP and tender submissions that showcase the strength of our proposition.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing team of client directors and client service managers.
Knowledge and Abilities:
We're looking for a commercially astute leader with deep expertise in the motor insurance sector and a passion for building market-leading propositions.
You'll bring:
- Significant experience within motor claims, legal services, or the wider motor insurance market.
- A strong track record of proposition development and revenue growth.
- Extensive experience managing strategic insurer relationships at a senior level.
- Demonstrable success developing innovative solutions that improve client outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance client value and business profitability.
- The credibility and market presence to influence senior insurance decision-makers.
