Role Description

This is a full-time role for someone who will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality standards and care practices across PH Care Group’s homes. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Designing and maintaining quality assurance frameworks
  • Conducting internal audits and inspections
  • Monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Analysing quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement

The role will collaborate closely with home managers and multidisciplinary teams to:

  • Embed person-centred care
  • Support staff training on best practice
  • Ensure policies and procedures are clearly communicated and consistently applied

The Head of Quality will also:

  • Prepare reports for senior leadership
  • Contribute to strategic planning
  • Act as a key point of contact during external inspections and accreditation processes

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in quality management or clinical governance within health or social care, ideally in residential or elderly care settings.
  • Strong understanding of relevant care sector regulations, compliance standards, and best practice guidelines (e.g., CQC or equivalent frameworks).
  • Demonstrated skills in auditing, risk assessment, incident review, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to develop and implement quality policies, procedures, and performance indicators across multiple sites.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, coach, and support care teams at all levels.
  • Experience in data analysis and report writing to inform decision-making and present quality outcomes to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and projects.
  • Commitment to person-centred care, safeguarding, and promoting dignity, respect, and independence for residents.
  • Relevant professional qualification in nursing, social care, health management, or quality management, or equivalent experience.
