Head of Quality Improvement (Teaching, Learning & Assessment- TLA)
⭐Ready to Lead Quality Improvement in TLA Across the College?⭐ This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, ambitious and inspirational leader to join our Quality Team as Head of Quality Improvement (Teaching, Learning and Assessment). Working closely with the Head of Quality Assurance, the successful candidate will play a key strategic role in driving continuous improvement in teaching, learning and assessment across the College. You will lead on the development of high-quality teaching practice, support the professional development of staff, and champion innovative approaches that enhance learner engagement, achievement and outcomes. As a member of the College's quality leadership team, you will contribute significantly to our ambition of becoming an exceptional provider, ensuring that learners benefit from outstanding educational experiences and that staff are empowered to achieve excellence in their practice. This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on learner success, curriculum quality and the overall student experience across the College.
About the Role
As Head of Quality Improvement (TLA), you will:
- Lead the College's Teaching, Learning and Assessment (TLA) improvement strategy.
- Develop and deliver an impactful programme of quality improvement and professional development.
- Design and coordinate a comprehensive annual CPD programme for teaching and support staff.
- Lead lesson observations, quality reviews and monitoring activities across all provision.
- Support colleagues through coaching, mentoring and targeted development interventions.
- Use quality intelligence, learner feedback and performance data to inform improvement priorities.
- Manage and develop a team of Quality Practitioners.
- Promote inclusive, outstanding teaching practices that support learner success and progression.

About You
We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate:
- A proven track record of improving teaching, learning and assessment.
- Experience of delivering and co-ordinating high-quality staff development and coaching colleagues to improve performance.
- Strong understanding of curriculum design, delivery and evaluation.
- Experience of observing and evaluating teaching practice.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
- Engagement with staff in building confidence and positive relationships
- A research-informed approach to quality improvement and educational practice.
- A recognised teaching qualification and degree-level education.
