Radio Pharmacy Team Leader
We are looking for a highly motivated, innovative, and dynamic individual to lead and head our Radio Pharmacy team based at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing and forward-thinking Division working collaboratively with colleagues to develop radio pharmacy capacity to support an expanding nuclear medicine department and providing to a range of external radiopharmaceutical customers.
The post holder, reporting to the Divisional Director of Clinical Services (St Bartholomew’s Hospital), will work closely with Group Chief Pharmacist and wider senior leadership team to maximise the benefits of working within the sites to provide a cohesive radio pharmacy service to patients, the trust and partners.

Role Purpose
- Lead the strategic development of Radiopharmacy services as Head of Radiopharmacy for Barts Health NHS Trust
- Maintain government licenses as the named individual and Quality Controller on the MHRA ‘specials’ manufacturing licence
- Responsible for the manufacture and quality of diagnostic and therapeutic radioactive medicinal products produced by the Radiopharmacy for patient administration
- Provide leadership in the Radiopharmacy and supervision of standards for the Radiopharmacy service
- Accountable for compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and all other relevant standards
- Responsible for recalling products and investigating quality problems when required
