PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Join the BBC's Talent Acquisition leadership team and play a critical role in shaping the future workforce of one of the world's most recognised media organisations. As Head of Recruitment Delivery, you'll lead end to end hiring across the BBC, ensuring diverse, high quality talent is recruited at scale. Driving operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement, you'll help deliver the people capability that enables the BBC to inform, educate and entertain audiences across the UK and beyond.

Your Key Responsibilities And Impact

  • Lead Recruitment delivery across the BBC, ensuring diverse, high quality talent is hired efficiently and effectively to meet business priorities and workforce plans
  • Inspire and develop a large, multi-layered recruitment team, creating a high performance culture focused on service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Drive operational excellence at scale, embedding consistent recruitment processes, leveraging data and insights, and improving hiring outcomes, candidate experience, and delivery performance
  • Partner with senior leaders and Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partners to translate workforce strategies into executable hiring plans, providing insight, challenge, and solutions to complex recruitment needs
  • Shape the future of Talent Acquisition at the BBC by working closely with Enablement, Employer Brand, and specialist teams to maximise the impact of technology, assessment, attraction, and talent intelligence capabilities.

Essential Criteria

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Significant experience leading large scale Recruitment delivery functions within complex, matrixed organisations, with accountability for end to end recruitment outcomes
  • Proven track record of delivering high volume and/or specialist hiring at scale, using data and performance metrics to drive measurable business results
  • Strong leadership experience managing large, multi layered teams, with the ability to build high performing cultures and develop leaders through others
  • Demonstrated ability to translate workforce plans and business priorities into effective hiring strategies and delivery plans, influencing senior stakeholders in complex environments
  • Strong operational excellence mindset, with experience embedding consistent recruitment processes, driving continuous improvement, and improving diversity, quality, and efficiency outcomes through data led decision making

Desirable

  • Experience working within a large, complex, public sector, regulated, or highly matrixed organisation
  • Experience partnering with Employer Brand, Talent Intelligence, or Recruitment Marketing teams to align attraction strategies with hiring delivery objectives
