Prospectus is delighted to support a national health charity in the search for a Head of Relationship Fundraising.
This organisation was established in 2012 by Emily Reuben and Alex Johnson after both of their sons were diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. What began as a personal mission evolved into a nationally respected organisation driving systemic change across research, care, clinical trials, and treatment access.
About the Role
As the Head of Relationship Fundraising, you will have a key role in a new phase of fundraising development. Focusing on building sustainable income, this role will look to strengthen supporter engagement, develop long-term relationships across the Duchenne community, and grow philanthropic giving. This role will specifically look to build long-term relationships with supporters who have been personally affected by Duchenne—whether they are parents, carers, or friends and family members who want to fundraise in someone's honour or memory.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
