Head of Reporting & FP&A

We are partnering with a large, ambitious and growing international group to recruit a Head of Reporting & FP&A. This is a highly visible position, reporting directly to the Group Finance Director and working closely with senior leadership and board stakeholders across the business.

Based in Birmingham, West Midlands, this role offers an outstanding opportunity for a technically strong, ACA qualified reporting professional who enjoys financial reporting and controls but is keen to broaden their commercial exposure through FP&A, strategic decision support and M&A activity.

The successful candidate will lead the group reporting function while playing an increasingly influential role in budgeting, forecasting, business partnering, commercial analysis and strategic growth initiatives.

You will be joining a business experiencing significant growth and transformation, providing exposure to senior stakeholders, strategic projects and acquisition activity.

Key Responsibilities

Group Reporting

  • Lead the monthly close and consolidated reporting process.
  • Manage the annual external audit and statutory reporting cycle.
  • Act as the technical accounting lead (FRS102), overseeing complex accounting matters and group accounting policies.
  • Ensure robust financial controls and governance across the organisation.
  • Drive continuous improvement, reporting efficiencies and finance transformation initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, advisers and key external stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
