A well-established Top 100 law firm is looking for an experienced Residential Property professional to lead its established team in Stourbridge.
This is a hands-on leadership role, with a genuine split between managing the team and continuing to handle your own residential conveyancing work. The team is one of the largest within the business, so this is an important appointment with responsibility for supporting the team, managing performance and developing client and introducer relationships.
The firm is open to experienced managers, but would also consider someone ready to take their first step into management, provided they have the right level of technical experience and are open to support and mentoring.
The Role:
- Lead and manage the Stourbridge Residential Property team
- Continue to manage an appropriate residential conveyancing caseload
- Handle freehold and leasehold matters, remortgages, transfers of equity and shared ownership work
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team
- Supervise, coach and develop Conveyancers, Paralegals and Trainees
- Oversee workflow, file allocation and team performance
- Act as a senior technical point of contact for the team
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, estate agents and other introducers
- Support the continued development of the wider Residential Property department
- Help maintain strong standards around case management, compliance and Land Registry processes

Iโm in my final year doing Economics and I donโt know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer โ it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donโt need a masters. Letโs look at the ones youโd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet โ that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
