Meadow Bay Villages operates holiday and residential parks in Northamptonshire, Hampshire, and Kent, offering destinations that appeal to both holidaymakers and owners. Role Description

The Head of Retail will oversee all retail operations across one of the country's biggest holiday parks near Northampton. This full-time, on-site role will manage the retail strategy, merchandising, pricing, and customer experience within shops, food and beverage outlets, and other income-generating units. Day-to-day tasks include setting sales targets, monitoring performance, analyzing retail metrics, and implementing initiatives to improve revenue and profitability. The role will lead and develop retail teams, ensure efficient staffing and training, and maintain high standards of presentation and service. The Head of Retail will collaborate with park management and central leadership to align retail offerings with the broader guest experience and brand standards, while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

  • Strong retail and sales experience, with a proven track record of managing multi-site or high-volume retail operations.
  • Business planning and analytical skills to develop retail strategies, forecast performance, and interpret financial and operational data.
  • Team management skills, including leadership, coaching, performance management, and workforce planning.
  • Experience in hospitality, leisure, or holiday park environments is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Comfort with using retail systems, POS technology, and basic Microsoft Office or similar tools.
  • Ability to work on-site in Northampton, with flexibility to visit other parks as needed.
  • Relevant qualification in business, retail management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
