Head of Retail

Brand: Bettervits
Location: UK (Remote / Hybrid with Travel)
Type: Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP

About Us

Bettervits is a fast-growing UK nutrition and supplements brand with ambitions to become a category leader in the UK and beyond. Built on premium products, strong digital expertise, and a relentless focus on growth, we're now accelerating our expansion into physical retail.

With an established direct-to-consumer business and growing retail presence, we're looking to build Bettervits into one of the most recognised and successful supplement brands on the high street. No corporate fluff, just high standards, creative thinking, and people who get things done.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of Retail to lead and scale Bettervits' retail business across the UK, with a focus on major pharmacy, health, beauty, grocery, and specialist retail chains.

This is a commercially driven leadership role for someone with extensive experience growing consumer brands within major UK retailers. You'll be responsible for strengthening existing retail partnerships, securing new listings, increasing in-store sales, and building a profitable, scalable retail operation.

We're looking for someone with strong industry relationships, exceptional commercial judgement, and a proven ability to turn retail distribution into meaningful revenue. You'll understand that securing listings is only the beginning, and that long-term success comes from strong rate of sale, effective merchandising, promotional execution, and productive retailer relationships.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Own Bettervits' UK retail strategy and commercial performance, with clear accountability for revenue growth, profitability, distribution, and rate of sale across existing and new retail partners
  • Build and strengthen relationships with major UK retailers, including Boots, Holland & Barrett, Superdrug, supermarkets, pharmacies, and other relevant national chains, securing new listings and expanding distribution
  • Drive sell-through and in-store performance through effective promotional planning, merchandising, shelf positioning, retail media, and joint business plans with key accounts
  • Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, margins, promotional investment, listing fees, trading terms, and annual agreements, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth
  • Analyse performance at retailer, category, store, and SKU level, using sales data, rate of sale, distribution, and competitor insights to identify opportunities and improve results
  • Develop and execute retail expansion plans, including new product launches, category presentations, retailer pitches, account forecasts, and collaboration with internal marketing, finance, and supply chain teams

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
