About The Role
This senior position leads the Reward agenda for a global logistics and supply chain organisation. Based in Coalville on a hybrid basis, with one to two days weekly on-site in Leicestershire, the Head Of Reward oversees compensation and benefits strategy across UK, Ireland and Nordic operations. The full-time post pays £90,000 to £100,000 annually, plus company car, bonus and wider benefits. Responsibilities include shaping executive reward frameworks, managing stakeholder relationships, and guiding pay policy through a period of organisational change. Applicants should demonstrate strong technical knowledge of compensation design, job evaluation and benefits management, together with proven leadership at a senior level. As Head of Reward, you will take ownership of the full Compensation & Benefits function, providing strategic and operational guidance to the HR Leadership Team and global C&B stakeholders. Managing a dedicated team, you will oversee reward governance, annual pay reviews, trade union negotiation benchmarking, benefits renewals, and executive reward frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Reward Leadership & Strategy: Lead all compensation, salary structures, rate ranges, pensions, and benefits renewals (including life insurance and broker management).
- Stakeholder & Matrix Management: Navigate a structured corporate matrix, aligning UK reward initiatives with regional, European, and global C&B governance.
- Operational Alignment: Partner with senior HR Heads and operational leaders across a large blue-collar and unionised workforce, supporting annual pay negotiations and salary benchmarking.
- Governance & Processes: Ensure robust job evaluation frameworks, reward governance, and corporate compliance across all business units.
- Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and manage a team comprising two Reward Advisors and a Reward Administrator.

Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a senior Compensation & Benefits specialist accustomed to operating in complex, corporate matrix, fast-paced environments.
- Proven Reward Expertise: Deep technical knowledge across salary benchmarking, reward strategy, pensions, broker renewals, and job evaluation.
- Matrix Experience: Experience within European or global matrix structures, working alongside regional/corporate C&B stakeholders.
- Operational Understanding: Familiarity with large-scale operational or blue-collar employee environments; experience working alongside recognised trade unions is highly advantageous.
- Governance & Influence: High political awareness—able to work comfortably within established corporate rules while possessing the credibility to challenge, influence, and drive change.
- Location: Commutable distance to the Leicestershire, for flexible hybrid working (1–2 days per week on-site).
