About the Role

The Credit Technology team develops and supports the platforms, data and analytics that enable Investec to assess, monitor and manage risk across the bank. Working closely with Risk, Lending, Finance, Regulatory Reporting and Technology teams, we deliver trusted data, modern technology solutions and robust governance that support informed decision-making and regulatory compliance.

As we continue to modernise our data landscape, we're looking for a Head of Risk Data to shape and execute the risk data strategy, strengthen data governance, and help unlock greater value from our data.

What will I be doing?

As Head of Risk Data, you will own and drive Investec's Risk Data strategy, leading the evolution of our risk data capabilities across governance, architecture, quality and regulatory compliance. You'll ensure that risk and financial decision-making is underpinned by trusted, well-governed data while shaping the future of our risk data landscape. You'll work across Technology, Data & Analytics, Architecture, Data Governance and Operational teams to improve data quality, strengthen governance frameworks and drive the modernisation of risk data platforms.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Defining and delivering the Risk Data strategy in alignment with the wider Data & Analytics vision.
  • Leading initiatives that improve data quality, integrity, security and governance across the Risk domain.
  • Partnering with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for better data-driven decision-making.
  • Providing leadership and direction to data and technology teams, promoting innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Influencing and aligning distributed data domain teams around common standards and strategic objectives.
  • Supporting the modernisation of risk systems, data architecture and governance practices.
  • Ensuring risk data capabilities remain aligned to evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Building strong relationships across business and technology teams to drive successful outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
