Head of Safeguarding – Permanent | Remote with occasional travel
I'm delighted to be partnering with a growing, multi-site organisation where safeguarding is seen as a leadership priority, not just a compliance requirement.
The Head of Safeguarding role is a senior, high-impact opportunity where you will be the functional lead for safeguarding across multiple jurisdictions. With a wide brief and high level of responsibility, you will lead the independent, second-line safeguarding function, setting the framework, providing oversight and assurance, and giving operational leaders the constructive challenge they need to deliver safe, compliant, high-quality practice.
What you'll be doing:
- Owning a coherent safeguarding framework that embeds Group standards alongside local legal and regulatory requirements across each jurisdiction
- Leading the Compliance & Reporting function and a team of Compliance Assurance Inspectors delivering an unannounced, evidence-based inspection programme
- Turning incidents, investigations and regulatory findings into themes, insight and lasting improvements to standards, guidance and learning
- Producing clear, evidence-based reporting for senior leadership, Group and board-level governance forums
- Building trusted relationships with stakeholders at every level, from on-site teams and operational leaders to regulators, Group and the board

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
