The opportunity
Our client, a growing, profitable, venture-backed fintech, is seeking a Head of Sales to lead its next phase of sales growth.
The company serves finance teams at growing businesses and is preparing for a significant AI agent release. The role combines leadership of an established sales team with the opportunity to shape the commercial approach for a new product.
Reporting to the COO and Co-founder, the successful candidate will lead nine full-cycle Account Executives and an established Revenue Operations function.
The role
The sales team has an effective outbound motion and generates strong pipeline. The Head of Sales will focus on developing AEs, improving sales execution and building a team that can scale.
This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who enjoys coaching, working through live opportunities and joining customer conversations. The role carries no personal sales quota; variable compensation will be linked to team performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coaching and developing AEs across the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through to negotiation and close.
- Driving consistent quota attainment through training, deal support and performance management.
- Retaining strong performers and recruiting additional AEs as the team grows.
- Leading Revenue Operations to support forecasting, performance insight and sales execution.
- Collaborating closely with Customer Success and Product.
- Developing and testing the sales approach for the forthcoming AI agent as it moves towards general release, including opportunities with existing customers and new customer segments.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
