Combination of office, home and travel to clients
LOCATION: West Midlands
SALARY: £48-55k, Car Allowance, Bonus/commission structure
Due to acquisition and the desire to grow the business my client needs a senior, hands-on Head of Sales/New Business lead to drive growth in architectural signage (wayfinding, fascias, totems, built-up letters, tower block signage and related packages). This is a hunter role for someone who enjoys proactive outreach, relationship building, and closing sustainable relationships.
The successful candidate will be supported by an internal office team for estimating, technical input, and sales admin to be able to focus their energy on development.
Target sectors & buyer types
Priority target sectors include, electrical contractors / principal contractors delivering major builds (e.g., tower blocks, large developments) - Education (schools, academies, multi-site education groups) - Multi-site organisations (care homes, charities, retail/charity shops). The business already has a fantastic client base in these sectors to be able to demonstrate a portfolio of work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
