Heading up our Commercial department your role will be to:

  • Define and deliver the overall sales strategy for Pets Choice, driving sustainable and profitable growth across all channels.
  • Work as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, to contribute to the overall direction, performance and leadership of the business.
  • Build, inspire and lead a high-performing sales organisation that balances entrepreneurial thinking with commercial discipline.

Main responsibilities:

  • Set and lead the overall UK sales strategy across Grocery and other Sales Channels
  • Deliver profitable revenue growth aligned to company objectives, with clear ownership of sales performance, margin and market share.
  • Lead, develop and hold accountable a multi-layered sales team, ensuring high standards of performance, capability and engagement.
  • Build strong, strategic relationships with key retail partners, adopting a challenger mindset to unlock opportunities and grow share.
  • Ensure a consistent, commercially robust approach to pricing, promotions, trade spend and negotiations across all channels.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, pace and ownership across the sales function, with clear performance expectations and measurable outcomes.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and NPD to ensure alignment between commercial strategy and execution.
  • Actively contribute to business-wide decision making as a senior leader, balancing short-term delivery with long-term growth.
  • Identify and unlock new routes to market, customers and growth opportunities in line with the entrepreneurial nature of the business.
  • Lead key commercial projects such as customer strategies, range optimisation, and channel expansion initiatives.
  • Review and evolve sales structures, processes and ways of working to ensure efficiency and scalability as the business grows.
  • Develop succession plans and build future leadership capability within the sales team.

We're looking for:

  • Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within FMCG and the Grocery channel.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering profitable growth.
  • Experience managing multiple channels.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and less structured environment.
  • Demonstrable experience leading, developing and holding high-performing teams accountable.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills at a senior level.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
