We’re working with a growing, tech-led commercial finance brokerage that is looking to appoint a Head of Sales to build and lead its UK sales team.
This is a good opportunity to join at an early stage, with genuine influence over the sales function and how the business develops.
Initially, the role will be a player-manager position. The focus will be on working qualified inbound opportunities, building lender relationships and driving deals through to completion, while also helping shape sales strategy, processes and team structure.
The business already generates thousands of commercial finance enquiries each month, so there’s no cold calling and no expectation to build a personal pipeline.
The leads are provided, the focus is on converting them, improving the sales process and building a strong team around the opportunity.
As the business grows, responsibility will increasingly move towards hiring, coaching and managing the wider sales function.
We’re looking for someone who knows the UK business finance market and has strong relationships with commercial finance lenders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Technology is a big part of the business too. The aim is to make the funding process quicker and more efficient for customers and the sales team, while removing much of the admin that can slow deals down.
There will be genuine input into how the technology, sales process and wider operation develop as the business grows.
This is an opportunity to join a business with strong inbound demand and a technology-led approach, with real scope to develop lender relationships and have a genuine impact on the direction of the sales function.
If you’re already leading a sales team, or you’re a senior sales professional with the experience, relationships and ambition to step into one, I’d be keen to have a confidential conversation.
