Head of Sales – B2B Events
£65,000 basic + commission
Hybrid working
We’re recruiting a Head of Sales for an exciting and growing B2B events business.
This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced sponsorship sales leader who knows how to drive revenue, develop a high-performing team and lead from the front.
You’ll take ownership of the commercial strategy across a portfolio of events, managing and developing the sales team while remaining close to key clients and major sponsorship opportunities.
The role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading, motivating and developing a team of sponsorship sales professionals
- Setting clear targets and creating the strategy needed to achieve them
- Managing team performance through regular one-to-ones, pipeline reviews and coaching
- Driving sponsorship revenue across the portfolio
- Developing senior relationships with key clients and strategic partners
- Supporting the team with larger, more complex proposals and negotiations
- Identifying new revenue streams and opportunities for portfolio growth
- Working closely with the marketing, content and event delivery teams
- Reporting on forecasts, pipeline and commercial performance
- Creating a positive, ambitious and accountable sales culture

Who they’re looking for
You must have:
- Strong sponsorship sales experience within the B2B events industry
- Proven experience managing and developing a sales team
- A successful track record of delivering against ambitious revenue targets
- Experience coaching individuals and improving team performance
- The ability to create and implement an effective commercial strategy
- Strong forecasting, pipeline management and reporting skills
- Confidence managing senior client relationships and negotiating high-value deals
