About The Opportunity

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Sales will lead and scale our commercial function to accelerate revenue growth, deepen customer relationships, and strengthen our market position in IT Security & Support. This role combines strategic leadership, people management, and hands-on commercial execution to build predictable pipelines and deliver consistent, high-quality customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Growth

  • Define and own the sales strategy, aligned to company objectives, target markets, and service propositions.
  • Identify new market opportunities, verticals, and propositions to expand revenue and margin.
  • Set clear commercial targets, KPIs and success measures, and drive accountability across the team.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, lead and coach a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous improvement and customer focus.
  • Recruit, mentor and develop sales talent, establishing clear career pathways and performance expectations.
  • Work closely with operations and delivery leaders to ensure sales decisions support sustainable delivery and customer satisfaction.

Sales Execution & Pipeline Management

  • Own the sales pipeline and forecasting process, ensuring accuracy, visibility and regular reporting to the leadership team.
  • Implement consistent sales processes, qualification frameworks and CRM discipline to improve conversion and predictability.
  • Support senior bids and complex opportunities, providing commercial direction and governance.

Customer & Partner Relationships

  • Develop and maintain strong executive relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
  • Ensure customer needs and feedback inform product, service and delivery improvements.
  • Represent the company at industry events and in customer engagements to raise our profile and credibility.

Commercial Governance & Reporting

  • Establish robust commercial governance, pricing discipline and contract management processes.
  • Provide regular, transparent reporting on sales performance, pipeline health, risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure healthy revenue recognition, margin performance and commercial controls.

Collaboration & Alignment

The Head of Sales will work closely with:

  • CEO & Leadership Team – strategic direction, performance reporting and go-to-market alignment.
  • Head of Service / Technical Delivery Manager – ensure commercial commitments are deliverable and support capacity planning.
  • Solutions & Engineering – shape propositions, support complex customer requirements and ensure smooth handovers.
  • Marketing – align campaigns, messaging and events to generate quality demand and support sales engagement.

Experience & Skills Desired

  • Proven experience leading sales teams in IT services, managed services or cybersecurity-focused organisations.
  • Track record of building predictable revenue growth, pipeline discipline and strong customer retention.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing, contract negotiation and deal structuring.
  • Excellent people leadership skills: hiring, coaching, performance management and developing talent.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence at executive level and present to diverse audiences.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with technical and delivery teams to balance commercial ambition with operational reality.
  • Experience using CRM and sales tooling to manage pipeline and reporting (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce or similar).
  • A pragmatic, customer-focused mindset with a willingness to roll up sleeves and work as part of a small, ambitious team.

Experience within a defined service model or MSP environment is advantageous, but commitment to learning and continuous improvement is essential.
