Head of Sales
Gateshead / North of England (Hybrid)
Competitive Basic Salary + Company Car/Allowance + Bonus
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Sales to join Nortec Fire, a growing and highly respected Fire & Security business operating across the North of England.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving commercial growth, developing sales strategy, increasing market presence, and building a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.
This is far more than a traditional sales position. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the future direction of the business, bringing structure, momentum, and commercial focus while building on an already strong reputation for technical expertise, integrity, compliance, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the company's sales strategy across key target sectors including Property Management, Facilities Management, Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Industrial, Housing, and Estates.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of new business opportunities, account growth opportunities, and strategic relationships.
- Generate new opportunities through networking, referrals, direct prospecting, and targeted business development activity.
- Build meaningful relationships with decision-makers, stakeholders, and industry contacts.
- Take ownership of the sales process, ensuring opportunities are effectively managed from initial engagement through to successful delivery.
- Work closely with operational and technical teams to ensure opportunities are commercially viable and deliverable.
- Provide visibility across pipeline activity, forecasting, and commercial performance.
- Drive profitable, sustainable growth while protecting margins and service quality.
- Grow existing customer accounts through exceptional relationship management and service delivery.
- Represent the business professionally and uphold the highest standards of integrity and customer care.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- A proven track record in sales leadership, business development, or senior commercial roles.
- Experience within Fire & Security, Facilities Management, Property Services, Compliance, Building Services, or a similar service-led environment.
- A strong history of generating and winning new business opportunities.
- Experience building and managing structured sales pipelines.
- The ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- A consultative, relationship-led approach to sales.
- Strong commercial awareness, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
- Experience working with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- The drive, resilience, and ambition to help lead business growth.
- A professional, ethical, and customer-focused approach.
