Head of Sales

Salary: £55,000-£60,000 (OTE £80,000)
Location: Chorley, Lancashire | Full Time | Office Based

Our client is a fast-growing brand that continues to scale, they're looking for a Head of Sales to lead and develop the sales function, driving sustainable revenue growth through a high-performing inbound and outbound sales team.

The Role

This is a commercially focused role with a strong emphasis on performance, experimentation, and continuous improvement. You'll oversee a team of 10 sales advisors across inbound and outbound channels, driving revenue growth and customer lifetime value.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the team – motivating and developing sales advisors through regular coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Owning sales strategy – across inbound and outbound channels, ensuring every opportunity is maximized.
  • Driving commercial performance – improving conversion rate, average order value (AOV), revenue, and order volume while maintaining healthy gross margins.
  • Raising standards – implementing best-in-class sales techniques, objection handling, and call quality.
  • Managing KPIs – monitoring individual and team performance, providing regular feedback, development plans, and recognition.
  • Improving processes – identifying opportunities to enhance CRM usage, lead management, and customer experience.
  • Working cross-functionally – partnering with Marketing to optimize lead quality and campaigns, with Commercial on pricing and product availability, with Operations on service levels, and with Finance on margin management and forecasting.
  • Building the team – recruiting, onboarding, and developing future sales talent.

We're Looking For

  • Proven experience leading a high-performing sales team in a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Strong coaching, mentoring, and people leadership skills.
  • A track record of improving conversion rates and commercial performance.
  • Commercially astute, with a strong understanding of balancing revenue growth and margin.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to turn data into action.
  • A strong work ethic with a hands-on leadership style.
  • Confidence collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders including Marketing, Commercial, Finance, and Operations.
  • Experience within e-commerce, retail, horticulture, or a similar customer-focused sector is advantageous.

  • Salary: £55,000-£60,000 basic, OTE £80,000
  • Location: Chorley, Lancashire – full time, office based
  • Reporting to: Marketing & Growth Director
  • Start Date: ASAP
