About the Role

An exciting, UK regenerative soil business is seeking a Head of Sales to take their voluntary carbon credits (VCM) to market. You can be based anywhere in the UK, but easy access to London is preferable.

Reporting into the Managing Director, you will drive sales growth, generating new business, qualifying leads, maximising accounts, and ensuring long-term client relationships. You will be selling their first release of carbon credits, with an expanding flow of credits to come as more UK farm’s soil is validated. Being soil credits, they offer not only carbon capture, but support UK farmers to move into more sustainable farming practices, increase biodiversity, and enhance water capture.

These high integrity soil carbon credits have been validated under the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and have taken five years to generate. The business is at an exciting growth phase, and this role will be at the forefront of their success.

Duties

  • Business development, securing new clients through outbound sales, key account management, closing new deals, and upselling relationships.
  • Responsibility for delivering your sales targets.
  • Building successful relationships across the business, maximising cohesion, ensuring clients receive excellent customer service.
  • Negotiate and close high strategic contracts, these can be both high value or more transactional.
  • Attend client sites, industry events, trade shows, and stay up to date on industry trends.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
