Head of Sales & Operations | Hybrid | London | £50-60,000 + Bonus
Gecko Travel Recruitment are working with an ambitious and growing travel business who are recruiting a Head of Sales & Operations to join their team, with a strong expectation that the successful person will grow into the second most senior person in the business.
The Role:
As Head of Sales & Operations, you will manage the sales and customer service team, working closely with the Customer Operations Manager and taking responsibility for how the team performs. You will use sales figures and customer feedback to spot what is working and what needs improving, help increase bookings and booking values, make sure customers have a great experience from enquiry to booking, and work closely with the CEO as the business grows.
You Will Have:
- Proven experience managing a team, ideally including experience of managing or developing another manager
- Travel industry experience, particularly adventure or touring travel
- Strong commercial awareness with a proven ability to use data and KPIs to drive performance and make informed decisions
- A strong understanding of the customer journey and how to improve both customer experience and commercial performance
- Experience working with metrics such as conversion, average booking value, margin and cost of sale
- Proven track record of improving team performance and delivering against sales or operational targets
- A degree-level education
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle complex customer issues and escalations
- Organised, proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-moving and growing business
- Ambition to take on a broader senior leadership role and play a key part in the future growth of the business

- Salary £50-60,000 depending on experience, plus performance bonus
