Head of Sales – Automotive - UK - £Competitive

Role: Head of Sales

Location: London / Oxfordshire – Hybrid

Travel: Regular UK and international travel

Package: Competitive base salary + significant performance-related commission

The Opportunity

We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Head of Sales to lead growth for a specialist automotive business operating at the intersection of advanced technology, engineering and bespoke vehicle development.

The business designs and delivers highly bespoke, premium vehicles and experiences for an international client base of HNW and UHNW individuals, collectors and automotive enthusiasts.

This is a hands-on, relationship-led sales position. You will take ownership of revenue generation, build and manage a strong international pipeline and develop long-term relationships with high-value clients.

This is not a role for someone who simply manages inbound enquiries. We are looking for a proactive sales leader who can identify, engage and convert new customers, while delivering an exceptional client experience from initial introduction through to delivery and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the commercial sales strategy, delivering against revenue, order and pipeline targets.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of HNW/UHNW clients in the UK and internationally.
  • Proactively identify and develop new business through collectors, specialist automotive networks, private clubs, wealth networks, strategic partners and introducers.
  • Manage the complete client journey from initial engagement and presentation through to vehicle specification, negotiation, contract and deposit.
  • Develop trusted, long-term relationships with clients, generating repeat business, referrals and introductions.
  • Work closely with design and engineering teams to translate individual customer requirements into highly bespoke commissions.
  • Identify new international markets, partnerships and routes to market.
  • Represent the business at major automotive events, private client events and industry shows in the UK and internationally.
  • Host private client meetings, vehicle demonstrations and other high-touch customer experiences.
  • Work closely with marketing to develop campaigns, content and sales collateral.
  • Act as a credible external ambassador for the business, both in person and through relevant digital and social channels.
  • Provide customer and market intelligence to help shape product, pricing and wider commercial strategy.
  • Maintain accurate CRM, pipeline management and sales forecasting.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You

  • Proven experience in B2C sales of high-value products or services.
  • Strong track record of personally closing complex, high-value and potentially long-cycle sales.
  • Demonstrable experience developing relationships with HNW and UHNW clients.
  • Automotive experience is highly desirable, particularly within specialist, performance, premium or bespoke vehicles.
  • Relevant experience from other high-value sectors such as yachting, aviation, prime property, private banking or premium consumer products may also be considered.
  • A genuine new-business hunter who is comfortable creating opportunities rather than relying on inbound leads.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, objection-handling and closing capability.
  • Able to build credibility and trust with sophisticated international clients.
  • Polished, discreet and emotionally intelligent, with an understanding of the expectations associated with high-value client relationships.
  • Commercially creative, with the ability to identify new customers, markets, partnerships and routes to revenue.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, digital tools and social media as part of the sales process.
  • Willing to be highly hands-on and personally involved throughout the sales and client lifecycle.
  • B2B business development or strategic partnership experience would be advantageous.

Working Arrangement

The position will operate on a hybrid basis across London and Oxfordshire, with the working week shaped around clients, events and commercial priorities. Candidates should expect regular UK travel and periodic international travel, alongside time spent with the engineering and product teams in Oxfordshire to develop a detailed understanding of the vehicles, technology and proposition. Some flexibility for occasional weekend work will also be required around major automotive and client events.

What Success Looks Like

Success will be measured through the development of a strong and predictable sales pipeline, increasing conversion into orders and expansion into new customers and international markets. Equally important will be the quality of the relationships developed with clients – creating an exceptional ownership experience that generates referrals, introductions, repeat business and long-term advocacy for the brand.
