About Sarginsons Industries Ltd
Sarginsons has developed world-leading technologies in casting simulations and recycled aluminium alloys that will revolutionize the design, performance, and environmental impact of cast aluminium components. These developments have huge potential across industry, but will principally affect the automotive, aerospace, and architectural industries by dramatically improving component weight, mechanical performance, and carbon emissions.
The new technologies are already creating a significant impact at the top end of the automotive market, but the speed and breadth of new developments in automotive, defence, and aerospace industries promise almost unlimited potential for the wider dissemination of Sarginsons' new products. From topologically weight-optimised components, through mega castings and zero carbon alloys, this is a huge opportunity for a dynamic, go-getter to establish themselves and Sarginsons as global market leaders in the £100bn casting industry.
Role Overview
We are seeking a high-powered, technically astute Sales Director to spearhead our commercial growth strategy. This role demands a seasoned professional with deep roots in the aluminium and prototype casting sectors. Working closely with and reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for identifying, securing, and scaling high-value contract opportunities, translating our unique technical capabilities (such as topological optimization, FEA mapping, and low-pressure/sand casting) into winning commercial propositions for major OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
