The Role
The Head of Sales will take ownership of commercial growth across multiple service lines, spanning environmental markets, trading and market execution, advisory and consultancy services.
You will be responsible for developing the sales strategy, identifying new growth opportunities and ensuring strong execution across both new business and existing accounts. This will include understanding evolving market dynamics, identifying where new commercial opportunities are emerging and translating these into clear go-to-market strategies.
This isn't a role for someone looking to operate purely at a strategic level. We are looking for a leader who enjoys being close to the team, clients and market, and who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on commercial execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the commercial growth strategy alongside the CEO and senior leadership team
- Drive revenue growth across trading, market-based solutions, advisory and consultancy services
- Identify opportunities created by evolving carbon, environmental and commodity markets
- Identify new sectors, geographies and revenue streams for expansion
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies across the UK, Europe and international markets
- Lead, coach and develop a team across new business and account management
- Own pipeline management, forecasting and overall revenue delivery
- Remain involved in strategic accounts, major opportunities and complex commercial negotiations
- Work closely with internal market, trading and research specialists to translate market expertise into commercial opportunities
- Partner with Marketing and Revenue Operations to improve commercial processes and support scale

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
