Core Mission
Define trade & channel strategies whilst providing leadership to the sales team. Ensure winning commercial propositions and financial control for the consumer NNS and Customer Contribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Build a complete bottom-up Customer Plan to drive the overall business that is aligned with the Consumer Business Unit objectives and customer strategies.
- Sole responsibility for the NNS targets and full management of the consumer trade spend and customer contribution.
- Manage forecasting with the supply function to ensure optimal stock efficiencies for each channel.
- Work with the finance function to define the NNS & Customer Contribution annual budgets for consumer.
- Set individual sales targets with the sales team, managing bonus payments by channel with the finance function.
- Leading weekly trade meetings and reporting to the business any issues that arise.
- Work closely with the marketing team to build and execute channel plans.
- Proactive collaborative management of other lines in the P&L where sales have an impact or influence.
- Provide input and alignment to the key growth opportunities and action plans.
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of our trade investments amending the in-year to-go plan where necessary.
- Establish winning commercial propositions and support the development of key retail partners.
- Actively Develop People through coaching and professional skills training. Ensure career & succession planning, IDP's and talent management processes are in place.
- Adheres to all Company principles and policies including trade policy, local Sales policy, local Trade Terms, Safety, and legal regulations.

Technical Skills
- Degree level education.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business (Desirable).
- Recognised Industry Post-Graduate Diplomas/MBA (Desirable).
Key Skills / Experience Required
- 10+ years commercial experience, FMCG Sales &/or Category management, in both on and offline channels.
- A demonstrable record of success delivering key commercial KPIs.
- Successful track record of developing people and managing a team.
- Understanding of key business functions i.e. Commercial, Finance, Technical, Supply Chain.
- Excellent UK customer / FMCG / Beauty market knowledge.
