Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in either or London or Reading office
Salary: £68,100 - £102,100 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
The role
The Head of Sales will be accountable for all aspects of Sales for decentralised energy solutions offered by SSE's Energy Customer solutions business. It will be responsible for strategic market analysis, pipeline creation and qualification, opportunity appraisal, market segmentation, client engagement / account management and solution positioning to help land contracts and achieve business objectives. Working closely with other members of the leadership team, they will develop work winning strategies, create virtual teams and demonstrate expert level communication skills in order to influence both internal and external stakeholders, typically at C-Suite level within major blue-chip companies.
You will
- Build and qualify the pipeline with partners and directly
- Identify segments and accounts for growth and create / own the sales strategy
- Land projects to help achieve in year and 5 year business plan (own to contract closure)
- Lead and motivate a high-performance team in order to deliver a best-in-class solutions
- Collaborate with Head of Project Development and Delivery to ensure smooth handover of projects to delivery.

You have
- Proven skills for consultative selling and solution sales and driving P&L outcomes
- Deep knowledge of energy industry, energy policy and decentralised solutions for customers
- Experienced in devising win strategies addressing client needs based upon the principles of large-scale structured procurement.
- Experienced of engaging with customers to present technical & commercial solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, understand their needs, and manage expectations throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
