What You'll Do
Lead & Build the Team
- Hire, onboard, and develop a high-performing team of Sales Engineers across Europe, scaling the team as the region grows
- Coach SEs on technical sales methodology, discovery, demo excellence, and executive communication
- Set the technical sales strategy, standards, and playbooks for the European region, aligned with global SE leadership
- Own regional SE enablement, including onboarding, training, and certification
- Run the team's operating rhythm — pipeline reviews, deal reviews, resourcing, and forecasting for technical engagements
- Represent Europe's market feedback, competitive intelligence, and customer needs to global SE leadership, product, and engineering teams
- Partner with European sales and GTM leadership on territory planning, account strategy, and deal strategy
Lead from the Front (Player-Coach)
- Act as the senior technical lead on the region's largest, most strategic, or highest-risk enterprise opportunities, partnering directly with Account Executives
- Deliver compelling executive-level presentations and demos showcasing GenAI, Agentic AI, RAG, and LLM-based capabilities tailored to flagship prospects
- Build and oversee custom demos and proof-of-concepts (POCs) for top-tier accounts to validate business value and technical feasibility
- Lead discovery with senior business and technical stakeholders, including C-suite, to uncover strategic needs and desired outcomes
- Translate complex business requirements into AI solution architectures, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams
- Set the standard for RFP/RFI responses on major accounts, ensuring technical rigor and well-reasoned solution design
- Advise clients on AI adoption strategy, integration with multi-modal data platforms, and industry best practices
- Build and maintain deep expertise in AI trends, competitor offerings, and the evolving agentic and enterprise AI landscape, sharing insight across the wider organisation

What We're Looking For
- 15+ years of experience in pre-sales, solution engineering, or technical consulting, including several years building, leading, or mentoring a Sales Engineering team — preferably within enterprise SaaS, AI, or hyperscaler platforms
- Proven track record hiring, coaching, and developing high-performing SE talent, ideally across multiple European markets
- Comfortable operating as both a people leader and a hands-on individual contributor on high-stakes, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals
- Hands-on understanding of AI concepts including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, Agentic AI architectures, AI security and governance, and ethical AI
- Experience designing or selling AI platforms, data orchestration, or enterprise automation solutions
- Demonstrated expertise in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including core services such as compute, storage, networking, and serverless functions, particularly as they relate to deploying and scaling enterprise AI and SaaS solutions
- Practical experience with API integration and security: designing, integrating, and securing API connections between AI platforms and business applications (e.g., CRM, ERP, data warehouses), with knowledge of protocols (REST, GraphQL) and authentication mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, API keys)
- Data and network architecture acumen — ability to discuss and propose solutions around data governance, network segmentation, and enterprise security when deploying cloud-native or hybrid AI solutions
- Excellent executive presence — able to represent the European SE organisation confidently with internal leadership, customers, and partners
- Strong problem-solving and storytelling skills — able to connect AI capabilities to strategic business outcomes
- Familiarity with European enterprise buying dynamics and multi-country go-to-market considerations
- Familiarity with one or more of priority sectors — banking and financial services, media and telecom, retail and CPG, government, or energy and utilities — is a strong advantage
- Ability to travel across Europe as needed for client and team engagements
