Head of Sales – Technology

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £75,000–£90,000 base + competitive OTE

The Opportunity

We’re working with an ambitious and growing technology business that is looking to appoint an experienced Head of Sales to take ownership of its commercial growth strategy.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who can combine hands-on new business sales with strategic leadership, helping to build a high-performing sales function and drive significant revenue growth.

The Role

  • Own and deliver the overall sales strategy and revenue plan
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing sales team
  • Drive new business across the UK and/or international markets
  • Personally lead key enterprise and strategic opportunities
  • Improve sales processes, forecasting and CRM discipline
  • Work closely with the CEO, Marketing, Product and Customer Success teams
  • Identify new markets, sectors and commercial opportunities

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a Head of Sales, Sales Director, Sales Manager or senior B2B sales leadership position
  • Strong experience within technology, SaaS, software, IT services or a related sector
  • A demonstrable track record of consistently delivering revenue growth
  • Experience leading and developing sales teams
  • Strong new-business and consultative selling experience
  • Confidence selling to senior stakeholders and C-suite decision makers
  • Experience building pipeline through proactive business development

This role would suit someone who is commercially hungry, ambitious and enjoys building rather than simply maintaining. You’ll be comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels — developing the wider sales strategy while still getting involved in important deals and helping your team win.

The successful candidate will be someone who can bring structure and accountability to a growing sales function, whilst retaining the energy and drive required to win new business.
