About The Job

We’re looking for an experienced Head of Sales to take responsibility for our Retail and Trade sales operation across the UK and Europe, managing the senior staff responsible for more than 300 staff across our Warhammer stores, Trade sales offices and support staff.

This is a significant commercial role with a simple purpose: grow sales profitably and for the long term.

  • You’ll be responsible for our sales performance across all of Europe; including the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Austria, Switzerland, Czechia and more, as well as supporting our continued growth into new opportunities and markets.
  • Our Retail and Trade businesses are different but closely connected. Our Warhammer stores are where hobbyists can discover our worlds, learn about our miniatures and get hands-on guidance from knowledgeable staff. Our Trade teams grow our business by helping ever more independent retailers successfully stock and sell Warhammer.
  • As Head of Sales, you’ll make sure both continue to grow.
  • You’ll lead our Head of Trade for Europe, Retail Regional Managers and senior sales staff, setting clear goals and making sure our Retail and Trade strategies are understood and delivered consistently across Europe.
  • You’ll know what is happening across your business. You’ll keep a close eye on sales, profitability, costs and KPIs, understand where performance is strong and where it needs attention, and make sure action follows. You’ll build commercially robust plans that allow us to recruit more retail partners, reach more hobbyists and grow sales without losing sight of sustainable profitability.
  • Just as importantly, you’ll build a strong organisation around you. You’ll make sure we have the right staff in the right roles, recruit well, develop talented staff and deal confidently with underperformance when necessary. With a large, geographically spread operation, you’ll also think ahead about succession and make sure there is strength and capability throughout your teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we need from you

We’re looking for someone who has already operated at a senior level in a sizeable commercial sales or retail environment. You’ll have extensive experience managing managers and multi-tier teams, including recruitment, development and performance management. Experience leading sales or retail operations across several countries would be particularly valuable.

  • You’ll be commercially sharp, organised and energetic, but you won’t need unnecessary complexity to get things done.
  • You’ll be comfortable setting goals, keeping score and having straightforward conversations about performance.
  • You’ll notice what is happening around you, ask good questions and act when something needs to change.
  • You’ll also understand the responsibility that comes with running a large international operation, making sure appropriate controls, health and safety and compliance requirements are met whilst protecting the wellbeing of our staff and customers.
  • How you behave matters here. We value humility, honesty and courage. That means understanding what the business needs, being willing to recognise when something could be better and having the courage to do something about it.
