Are you the kind of sales leader who gets restless watching from the sidelines? Do you close deals personally, build relationships at board level, and then go home and think about the next one? Good. That’s exactly who we’re looking for.

About Expandly

Expandly is a post start-up fast-growing SaaS platform built for e-commerce businesses ready to take on the world. We give ambitious brands the technology, compliance expertise, and fulfilment infrastructure they need to sell across international markets — from Amazon Germany to Etsy Japan — without the complexity that usually comes with it.

We’re not a startup finding its feet. We’re a business with a proven product, a growing client base, and a clear commercial ambition: to become the definitive platform for cross-border e-commerce growth. We’re building the team to match that ambition, and this role sits right at the heart of it.

The Role

This is a player-manager position — and we mean it. You’ll lead the sales function, build and coach the team, and own the go-to-market strategy. But you’ll also be on the pitch yourself, personally hunting and closing the deals that matter most.

Your commercial focus will be clear from day one: grow subscribers, increase average revenue per client, and drive adoption of our 3PL and shipping services. You’ll personally own the development of Expandly’s targeted Top 100 Client accounts and Top 100 Commercial Partners — the high-value brands and strategic relationships that will define our next chapter of growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Hunt, pitch, and close high-value client and partner deals — personally, not just through your team
  • Own and drive the acquisition of Expandly’s Top 100 target clients and Top 100 commercial partners
  • Build and deliver a robust sales strategy across SaaS, 3PL, and shipping revenue lines
  • Create and manage a commercial partnership programme that opens new channels and referral pipelines
  • Shape our GTM strategy alongside marketing — inbound, outbound, events, and digital
  • Constantly refine the pitch, the process, and the tools — using AI and automation to stay sharp
  • Lead, coach, and develop a sales team that performs at the level you set
  • Influence our product roadmap by bringing the voice of the client and the market into the room
  • Report directly to the COO with full ownership of commercial performance

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We’re Looking For

  • A genuine, provable track record of personally finding and weaving together significant commercial deals — not just managing people who do
  • Experience in cross-border e-commerce, international trade, or fulfilment/3PL — this is essential, not a nice-to-have
  • The ability to operate at strategic level and then pick up the phone and close — same day
  • The presence to stand alongside successful, driven entrepreneurs and give them meaningful advice that will grow their business internationally
  • Experience building or scaling client and partner relationships at senior or C-suite level
  • Confidence with CRM, pipeline automation, and AI sales tools — you use technology as a force multiplier
  • Experience leading a sales team with a coaching, high-performance culture
  • Strong commercial instincts and a data-driven approach to targets and forecasting
