An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Sales & Experience to join a successful charitable leisure trust operating a portfolio of community leisure centres across South Gloucestershire.
Welcoming more than 2.5 million visits each year, the organisation is looking for a commercially minded leader to shape the customer journey, drive sustainable growth, and inspire teams to deliver exceptional service. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact within an organisation committed to improving the health and wellbeing of local communities.
The Role
Reporting as part of the senior leadership team, you'll take ownership of the entire customer journey, from attracting new members to improving retention and enhancing the overall customer experience.
This is a strategic role with the autonomy to influence change, introduce new ideas, and make a measurable impact on commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and implementing sales, retention and customer experience strategies.
- Identifying new commercial opportunities to grow membership and revenue.
- Using data and customer insight to improve engagement and retention.
- Coaching and supporting operational teams to deliver consistently high service standards.
- Driving innovation through technology, systems and process improvements.
- Working collaboratively with senior leaders to achieve business objectives and support long-term growth.
About You
We're looking for a commercially focused leader with a passion for customer experience and developing high-performing teams. You'll bring:
- Experience in a senior commercial, sales or customer experience role within leisure, hospitality, health & fitness, or another customer-focused environment.
- A proven track record of delivering sales growth and improving customer retention.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, coach and inspire teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to delivering results.
- A relevant degree, professional qualification, or equivalent industry experience.
