Head of Sales
Greater London (hybrid | 3 days in the office)
Circa £90,000 - £110,000 + Benefits
Lime Talent is delighted to be partnering with an ambitious, premium food business in the search for a Head of Sales.
This is a senior commercial leadership role with responsibility for developing the company’s sales strategy, building a high-performing team and accelerating new business growth.
The business is looking for a hands-on leader who will set the direction while remaining personally involved in winning new customers. This is not a purely managerial position: you’ll lead from the front, open doors and set the standard for the wider sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and develop the company’s sales strategy in line with its wider growth ambitions.
- Lead, coach and develop the sales team, creating a high-performance and commercially accountable culture.
- Set clear individual and team targets, supported by regular pipeline reviews and performance conversations.
- Personally identify, develop and convert significant new business opportunities.
- Build a strong personal pipeline while supporting the team to strengthen its own prospecting and conversion activity.
- Manage senior relationships with high-value customers and strategic prospects.
- Establish scalable sales processes, effective CRM discipline and clear reporting.
- Provide accurate pipeline, forecasting and revenue reporting to the senior leadership team.
- Identify opportunities to expand into new customers, channels and areas of the market.
- Work closely with marketing, supply chain, product development and finance to deliver the commercial plan.
- Shape the structure and capabilities of the sales team as the business continues to grow.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
