The group offers new vehicles from leading brands such as Suzuki, MG, Omoda, and Jaecoo, as well as Motability, electric and hybrid models, and quality-approved used cars. Chapelhouse is known for competitive finance options, including 5 Years 0% APR and Drive Now Pay Later, alongside free annual MOTs and service plans. Its brand- and EV-trained technicians deliver authorised servicing, repairs, MOTs, and parts, supporting strong customer loyalty with many customers returning for multiple vehicle purchases. With over 30 years’ experience, Chapelhouse is committed to excellent customer service and long-term relationships.
Role Description
The Head of Sales role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Southport dealership. This role oversees the sales team, ensuring targets are met through effective coaching, performance management, and motivation. Key responsibilities include:

- Managing the sales process

The Head of Sales will collaborate with senior leadership on sales strategy, pricing, promotions, and customer experience initiatives, while maintaining compliance with brand standards and regulatory requirements. The role also involves:
- Building strong customer relationships
- Resolving escalated issues
- Promoting a culture of professionalism, integrity, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Demonstrated strength in Sales and Sales Management, with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets in an automotive or retail environment.
- Experience in Team Management, including coaching, performance reviews, and developing high-performing sales teams.
- Strong Analytical Skills to interpret sales data, KPIs, and market trends to inform decision-making and strategy.
- Proficiency in Account Management, nurturing long-term customer relationships and managing key accounts effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Previous dealership or automotive sector experience, including familiarity with finance, Motability, and EV products, is essential.
- Comfort with CRM systems and basic IT tools for reporting, forecasting, and customer management.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Southport, with an alternative weekend rota.
- Relevant leadership or management experience; formal qualifications in business, sales, or management are an advantage.
