Are you an international sales leader with a passion for helping education organisations thrive worldwide?
As Head of International Sales & Marketing, you'll play a leading role in driving the next phase of growth for Global Education Supplies (GES), expanding our international presence through distributor partnerships, direct sales and new market development. This is a highly visible role where you'll have the opportunity to influence commercial strategy, build long-term partnerships and unlock new opportunities across global education markets.
This role would suit an experienced International Sales Manager, Head of International Sales, Export Sales Manager or Senior International Account Manager with strong experience in the education sector, an established distributor network and a proven track record of delivering international revenue growth.

Global Education Supplies (GES) is part of Commercial Services Group (CSG), one of the UK's largest local authority-owned trading organisations, operating 35+ businesses across education, energy, IT, procurement, HR and more. GES comprises several specialist brands serving education customers worldwide, including KCS Education, Gresswell, Landscapes for Learning, Maudesport, Technology Supplies and Timstar.

What you'll be doing
- Managing and developing a portfolio of international distributor partners across global markets.
- Identifying, onboarding and growing relationships with new distributors and UK consolidator partners.
- Building long-term partnerships that position GES as the preferred supplier within the education sector.
- Developing and managing direct relationships with international schools and education organisations.
- Promoting and selling the full GES portfolio of products and services across international territories.
- Driving new business opportunities and increasing revenue growth across existing and emerging markets.
- Representing the business at international exhibitions, conferences, events and customer meetings.
- Developing and delivering international marketing plans that support commercial growth.
- Working closely with Product Innovation teams to identify market opportunities and shape future product development.
- Gathering market intelligence and customer insight to support business growth and product strategy.
- Supporting distributors with product knowledge, training and commercial guidance.
- Maintaining accurate sales pipelines, activity records and opportunity tracking through CRM systems.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in international B2B sales, distributor management and new business development specifically across the education sector.
- Knowledge of the international education sector and its procurement landscape.
- Experience managing international accounts and growing revenue across multiple territories.
- A track record of winning new business both face-to-face and through virtual sales channels.
- Strong commercial negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines, opportunities and customer relationships.
- The ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.
- Additional European language skills would be highly advantageous.
- A proactive, commercially minded and results-focused approach.
