Join KnowledgeBrief
KnowledgeBrief is a leadership and business management training provider specialising in apprenticeship delivery, leadership development, business competency training, and professional skills development. Through apprenticeships, commercial learning solutions, qualifications, workshops, and coaching, we help individuals and organisations build the knowledge, confidence, and capability they need to grow and succeed.
Our vision is to inspire the next generation of leaders through high-impact learning experiences that empower great leadership at every level.
We are a values-driven organisation with a strong focus on innovation, authenticity, inspiration, and relationships, creating meaningful impact for our learners, clients, colleagues, and partners.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced sales and marketing leader who understands the education and training sector and can help us grow across both apprenticeships and fee-paying commercial training.
Reporting to our Chief Revenue Officer, you will lead KnowledgeBrief’s Sales division, bringing together our apprenticeship sales teams, commercial training sales and outreach, Client Development, and Marketing.
Apprenticeships are at the heart of our established sales activity. Alongside this, we are expanding our programme portfolio and developing our commercial training offer, creating an opportunity to build on a strong foundation and open up new sources of growth.
You will turn our sales and growth strategy into clear priorities, bring teams together, and support our managers to develop their people and deliver sustainable results. Your remit will cover sales across both apprenticeships and commercial training, working closely with our Head of Apprenticeships and operational colleagues to ensure that what we promise translates into an excellent client and learner experience.
We are looking for someone who brings ambition alongside sound judgement: someone who can strengthen performance, recognise new opportunities, and build lasting employer partnerships while keeping quality and learner suitability central to decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What You Will Do
- Lead the Sales division, aligning apprenticeship sales, commercial training sales and outreach, Client Development, and Marketing around shared priorities.
- Build on the success of established apprenticeship programmes while developing demand and pipelines for newer provision and commercial training.
- Coach and develop our Sales Managers and other direct reports, helping them grow in confidence, capability, and strategic thinking.
- Maintain a clear view of pipeline health, conversion, revenue, and forecasting, using insight to guide decisions and address barriers to performance.
- Bring marketing and sales activity together through effective targeting, clear propositions, coordinated campaigns, and purposeful events.
- Respond to changes in employer demand, apprenticeship funding, and the wider market, identifying opportunities and adapting our sales approach.
- Champion consultative sales conversations that reflect employer needs, learner suitability, and the different requirements of funded apprenticeships and fee-paying training.
- Work closely with operational colleagues to align growth with delivery capacity, effective handovers, and a high-quality learning experience.
- Support important client opportunities and long-term partnerships, while strengthening the systems and ways of working that help our teams succeed.
What You Will Bring
You will have experience leading sales and delivering growth within education and training, with exposure to both apprenticeships and fee-paying commercial training. You may have greater depth in one area, but you will bring enough practical understanding of both to lead confidently across the division.
As part of our recruitment process, we would like to hear about:
- Your track record of sustained growth, ideally through recent experience, and the contribution you made to achieving it.
- How you have applied your understanding of apprenticeships, including the way funding, eligibility, and employer responsibilities shape the sales approach.
- Your experience developing managers and teams, balancing encouragement and coaching with clear expectations.
- How you have brought sales and marketing together to reach the right audiences and turn interest into lasting client relationships.
- Your ability to translate strategy into practical action, using sales data, market insight, and financial judgement to prioritise effort.
- Your experience building demand for new programmes, services, or markets.
Experience across Enterprise, SME, or Public Sector markets would be useful, as would direct leadership of apprenticeship sales. We are interested in the relevance and impact of your experience, rather than a particular sequence of job titles.

We value leaders who create energy and clarity, support others to develop, and follow through on decisions. You will be comfortable balancing sales ambition with the wider needs of the organisation, recognising that sustainable growth depends on strong relationships and delivering on our promises.
Why Work With Us?
This is an opportunity to lead our Sales division at an important stage in KnowledgeBrief’s growth. Working closely with the Chief Revenue Officer and wider C-suite, you will help develop our people, strengthen our established apprenticeship sales, and grow our commercial training sales and outreach.
