This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Sales based in United Kingdom.
As Head of Sales, you will build and lead the commercial engine that turns strong market demand, product usage signals, and customer interest into sustainable revenue growth.
You will lead Account Executive and Sales Engineering teams, bringing them together around a unified, high-performing sales motion.
The role spans strategic enterprise, mid-market, product-led, outbound, partner, and regional opportunities.
You will shape sales strategy, forecasting, organizational design, hiring, performance standards, and cross-functional operating models.
You will also stay close to customers, personally supporting complex opportunities while empowering your team to operate independently.
Success means creating qualified pipeline, improving conversion, developing exceptional talent, and building a scalable sales system.
This is an opportunity to make a significant commercial impact within a fast-growing, remote-first technology environment.
Accountabilities
- Own the Sales function: Set commercial goals, KPIs, operating cadences, headcount plans, budgets, organizational structure, executive reporting, and performance standards across Sales.
- Build a multi-motion sales system: Define how strategic enterprise, mid-market, product-led, outbound, partner, and regional opportunities are identified, qualified, staffed, and progressed across a growing product portfolio.
- Generate qualified pipeline: Develop focused account-based and outbound programs based on customer evidence, use cases, market events, and product signals rather than undifferentiated prospecting.
- Convert customer signals into opportunities: Ensure high-potential product usage, sign-ups, inbound requests, support interactions, and target-account activity are quickly assigned to an owner with a clear next action.
- Scale and develop the team: Expand the organization, hire exceptional talent, establish clear expectations for high performance, and coach both individual contributors and sales leaders.
- Stay close to customers: Participate regularly in customer conversations and personally lead or support opportunities involving significant commercial, technical, or organizational complexity.
- Strengthen forecasting: Establish rigorous pipeline definitions, inspection practices, and forecasting processes that distinguish qualified opportunity value from incomplete or loosely influenced demand.
- Drive cross-functional alignment: Build effective ways of working with Customer Growth, Partnerships, Marketing, Finance, Revenue Operations, Product, Engineering, Technical Account Management, and Support without creating duplicated ownership.
- Turn sales activity into learning: Use discovery patterns, objections, migrations, wins, and losses to continuously improve playbooks, reusable assets, product feedback, and sales training.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Multi-motion sales expertise: Demonstrated success across several motions, such as strategic enterprise, mid-market, product-led sales, focused outbound, channel, or regional selling.
- Pipeline-generation experience: Proven ability to create qualified pipeline rather than relying entirely on inbound demand or a large SDR organization.
- Technical and product fluency: Comfortable discussing technical concepts and potential migrations with Engineering and customers without relying on Sales Engineering for every conversation.
- Strong commercial analytics: Fluent in pipeline inspection, forecasting, conversion analysis, capacity planning, performance management, and sales metrics.

- International and partner experience: Exposure to partner-sourced, international, or regional sales programs is beneficial.
- Complex buying groups: Experience selling to stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Growth, Finance, Security, Legal, and Procurement is a plus.
