Specialist engineers to the energy sector – seek experienced offshore/ marine equipment/ heavy civils engineer with managerial and commercial skills to lead UK company.

The Company

Specialists in Offshore equipment design and build – offshore wind, tidal, wave, marine, O&G. Projects include design & build of equipment required for large scale Transportation & Installation of offshore wind turbines, stress, FE, loads modelling, seafastening, HLIV, pile grippers. A fast growing, innovative and exciting company to work for, that offer excellent chances for technical and personal development.

The Role

Senior role for Civil / Structural / Naval / Mechanical engineer with Transportation & Installation experience in Marine / Offshore T&I.

Capable of making the step up to lead an UK office for Leading Engineering Consultancy. This is a wide ranging and lead role.

Mix of business development and strategy and management.

NB: please note it is essential to have large scale civil / structural engineering sales experience in offshore/ marine environment.

Essential Experience

  • Mechanical / Structural / Civil Engineering degree or similar
  • Marine / Offshore engineering sales experience
  • Civil / Structural / Mechanical engineering in Marine / Offshore Environment
  • Offshore Energy Transportation & Installation (O&G/ wind turbine T&I)
  • Equipment used in installation/ transportation/ lifting of large heavy Steel Structures (e.g. Jackets / Monopiles)
  • Excellent communicator: written, chairing meetings & presentations and client facing skills

Advantage to have any of the following:

  • Excellent network within the energy sector which will provide strong potential for developing new business
  • Engineering Management / Business Development / Commercial Management experience
  • Certification agencies such as DNV-GL, Lloyds Register and Bureau Veritas etc.

Essential to have civil/ structural engineering experience in marine / offshore – ideally heavy equipment design / transportation / installation.

Must have B Eng/ MEng Engineering degree in either Structural, Civil or Mechanical. Our client has an excellent attitude towards ongoing personal development, Training & Development.
