Head of Sales

Food Packaging Manufacturing

£90,000 - £100,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

Shape the Future of a Growing Packaging Group

We are partnering with a well-established and highly respected UK packaging manufacturer to recruit a commercially driven Head of Sales. This is a unique opportunity to lead the sales function across two complementary businesses serving the UK food manufacturing sector. One business is an established market leader with revenues exceeding £50 million, while the second is an innovative packaging technology business with significant growth ambitions.

Reporting directly to the Group Sales & Marketing Director, this is a genuine leadership opportunity to become their trusted commercial partner and play a key role in shaping the future direction of the business. If you're looking for a role where you can make a lasting impact rather than simply inherit an established structure, we'd love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

You'll lead a team of approximately 10 sales professionals across multiple customer channels, taking responsibility for driving commercial performance while introducing greater structure, accountability and best practice across the sales function.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
