Role Overview
An exciting opportunity for a Head of Sales (Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences) to join a leading provider of specialist processing, containment and sterile manufacturing solutions supporting the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and wider life sciences sectors.
In this strategic commercial leadership role, you will shape and deliver the UK growth strategy across a portfolio of advanced manufacturing and production technologies. Combining market insight, senior stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration, you will drive sustainable revenue growth, develop long-term customer partnerships and strengthen market presence across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and life sciences sectors.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Your duties as the Head of Sales (Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences) will be varied; however, the key responsibilities are as follows:
- Lead and execute the UK commercial strategy, ensuring alignment with wider business objectives and customer needs.
- Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities through market analysis, strategic account development and a consultative technical sales approach.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers across pharmaceutical manufacturing, engineering, operations and quality functions, ensuring a high-quality customer experience from initial engagement through to long-term partnership.
- Partner with internal teams to coordinate meetings, events and end-to-end sales activity, motivating colleagues across departments to support successful business development initiatives.
- Manage budget ownership, forecasting and reporting, providing clear commercial insight and performance updates to senior leadership.
- Collaborate closely with technical, operational and customer-facing teams to ensure a seamless and consistent client experience.

Role Requirements
To be successful in your application for this exciting opportunity as Head of Sales (Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences), we are looking to identify the following on your profile and career history:
- Demonstrable success in technical solution sales within pharmaceutical manufacturing, life sciences, healthcare technology or other highly regulated environments.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical capabilities into commercial value propositions and long-term customer partnerships.
- Strong knowledge of the UK pharmaceutical and healthcare landscape. International market exposure would be advantageous.
- Experience selling specialist manufacturing, sterile processing, containment, cleanroom or related technologies would be highly beneficial.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation.
- Strong strategic planning and analytical capabilities, alongside commercial and financial acumen.
