Head of Partnership Sales - Tes Institute
📍 London, Gray's Inn Road (Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office)
💰 £60,000 - £70,000 + 50% OTE
Tes Institute is Tes's accredited teacher training and development organisation, focused on initial teacher training, qualifications and ongoing professional development for teachers.
We're looking for a commercially driven business development leader to build our domestic and international presence and drive revenue across our Initial Teacher Training and CPD products.
This is a sales-focused role combining strategic partnership development, sales leadership, and hands-on business development activity. You'll be responsible for delivering against an agreed sales strategy, building a strong pipeline of opportunities, and developing commercial relationships with schools, teacher training providers, membership organisations, HEIs, and wider education sector stakeholders.
You'll also lead and develop a small team while working closely with Marketing, Operations and Programme Delivery to convert pipeline into enrolments, partnerships and revenue.

What you'll be doing
- Identify, establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the education sector.
- Lead negotiations and close deals with domestic and international partners.
- Deliver quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Build and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities using CRM tools.
- Drive collaboration across Marketing, Operations and Programme Delivery to maximise conversion and revenue growth.
- Create and deliver presentations, proposals and client solutions.
- Identify and contribute to larger bid and tender opportunities.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and target markets.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans.
- Represent Tes Institute at industry and international events.
- Manage and develop a small business development team.
What we're looking for
Experience
- Proven business development experience, ideally within the education sector.
- Demonstrated success delivering growth across UK and international markets.
- Experience negotiating and closing complex commercial deals.
- Strong track record of developing strategic partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
- Experience leading or developing teams within a sales environment.
- Experience promoting teacher training, qualifications or CPD programmes is advantageous.

Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of the K-12 education sector and teacher development landscape.
- Knowledge of sales processes, partnership development and commercial negotiation.
- Strong market research and strategic planning capability.
- Awareness of global education trends and international market opportunities.
- Ability to adapt communication and negotiation styles across different cultural contexts.
- Self-motivated, target-driven and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
